Finally in Africa

We finally arrived in Africa at 8am this morning (Uganda time).  We were picked up at the airport by the Greers (Adam and Betsy and their kids).  We loaded our luggage and headed to Kampala.  Kampala is the capitol of Uganda.  There we picked up some medicine for one of the children in the orphanage.  We then headed to Jinga the town that Good Shepherd's fold is located in.  We stopped at a market and the Ugandans brought vegetables, fruits and chicken on a stick up to our windows.  Adam bought some fruit and we headed into GSF.  At the gates of GSF we were greeted by singing and dancing children.  They were so sweet and happy to see us!  We unpacked and then took a tour of the compound.  We had some time to meet some of the orphans, workers and school kids.  We had a wonderful dinner with the missionaries and some of the other workers.  We are all tired but excited to be here in Uganda!!  Tomorrow we start our eye clinic.  We so happy to be here!!!!!

We have arrived!

Hello Friends and Family,

After some travel delays we have arrived in Uganda.  Please pray that travel weariness would not hinder us and that we would be filled with the strength and energy of our Lord.

Travel changes

We have had a travel change.  Our flight out of D.C. had some mechanical problems and was grounded.  They found another plane to take us but it got us to Brussels too late to catch our connecting flight.  So right now we are spending the night in Brussels and will fly to Uganda tomorrow.  Our plane is leaving here around 3pm.  We would appreciate prayers for safe travels, good sleep tonight, and good sleep on the plane tomorrow night.  We are looking forward to getting to GSF!!  We will post again once we get there!!

 We had our packing night and got all of our checked luggage packed.  We bought foot lockers at GSF's recommendation which we will be leaving there for them to use.
