The Journey Begins....

God is at work...
...at a place called Good Shepherd’s Fold. Westover Church has been asked to join alongside the missionaries at GSF and I have been selected as a member of the team. GSF’s mission is to provide a Christian home to the orphans and destitute children of Uganda. They seek to meet their physical, spiritual, social, emotional, and educational needs so that as they mature they may be fully equipped to impact Ugandan culture for Christ.
PURPOSE OF THE TRIP
The purpose of this trip is to join with the missionaries showing the love of Jesus in a tangible way to the children. We will join with them in caring for the children at the orphanage, assisting in the school
and on the farm. We are honored that they have asked us to join them in their life work.

GOERS AND SENDERS
Every team is made up of the Goers (the people who physically travel) and the Senders
(the people whose prayer and financial support make it possible). We would be blessed if
you would partner with us especially in prayer. We believe the success of this trip will
only be as great as the prayer that goes before it. The needs are many so we seek your
prayers that we may be a blessing to those in need and to the workers and missionaries
at GSF. Also please pray for our preparation, team unity, travel mercies, safety, health
and for our families we leave behind. Please pray especially that we may bring glory
and honor to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
JOIN US
We would be honored if you would consider financially supporting the team. The cost of
the trip is $2,600 per team member. This will cover all travel, food, lodging and ministry
expenses. If you choose to assist us financially you may do so in 2 ways:

BY MAIL: via the enclosed envelope along with the enclosed response card to our Team
Treasurer:
Please make your checks payable to WESTOVER CHURCH, indicating Uganda Team in
the memo line. To be tax-deductible, the checks must not include my name.
Westover Church makes every attempt to utilize all donations directly for the trip they are designated. However
on occasion we will have trips that are overfunded or are cancelled at the last moment. Therefore, Westover
Church reserves the right to transfer any excess donations from this team to another short term team if this trip
ends up overfunded or if this trip should be cancelled.
